O’Brien Semifinalists go head-to-head in week 11

FORT WORTH, Texas – The 2011 Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award® (The O’Brien) Marquee Match-up for week 11, as chosen by fans on Facebook, highlights a Pac-12 battle between O’Brien Semifinalists Andrew Luck and Darron Thomas.

Fans can show their support for Luck and Thomas, as well as any of the other 14 semifinalists, by visiting www.VoteOBrien.org and voting as often as once daily. The Fan Vote will count as 5% of the total vote in determining the finalists.

Marquee Match-up: No. 6 Oregon at No. 3 Stanford
Saturday, November 12 at 7 p.m. (CT) on ABC

Darron Thomas and the Oregon Ducks look to pull an upset when they migrate south to take on Andrew Luck and the undefeated Stanford Cardinal. The Ducks, who lead the Pac-12 in total offense with 510.67 yards per game, hope to avenge their last conference loss, which came at the hands of the Cardinal over two years ago on Nov. 7, 2009.

Luck, the most efficient quarterback in the Pac-12 with a 174.05 rating, will try to keep his team atop the Pac-12 North and in contention for a BCS National Championship Game berth with a victory on Saturday night. Stanford ranks first in the Pac-12 and third nationally in scoring, averaging 48.22 points per game.
