Montana man wins trip for two to Davey O’Brien Awards Dinner

FORT WORTH, Texas (January 15, 2009) – Stan Gray of Kalispell, Mont. was selected as the winner of the 2008 Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award® (The O’Brien) Defend Your Pride. Vote O’Brien.org Sweepstakes. Gray and a guest will attend the 32nd Annual Davey O’Brien Awards Dinner on February 16, 2009 at The Fort Worth Club in Fort Worth, Texas. The Awards Dinner will honor this year’s O’Brien Legends Winner, Joe Theismann; The O’Brien Quarterback Winner, Sam Bradford; and O’Brien High School Scholarship Winner, which will be announced later this month.

“I’ve been following The O’Brien for more than 20 years. This is such an awesome opportunity for me to get to experience,” said Gray in response to winning the sweepstakes.

Gray and his guest will spend several days in Fort Worth surrounding the festivities for the 2009 Awards Dinner. His prize package includes round-trip airfare for two, as well as a two-night stay in downtown Fort Worth. The two guests will attend a Welcome Reception and Dinner honoring Bradford, the Davey O’Brien Foundation’s press conference and cocktail reception prior to the Awards Dinner and the banquet itself.

Contestants aged 18 and above were able to enter the Defend Your Pride. Vote O’Brien.org Sweepstakes online at www.VoteOBrien.org throughout the 2008 college football season. Eligible contestants were also registered for the sweepstakes at all of The O’Brien’s visits to their Semifinalists during last fall’s O’Brien On-the-Road campaign. The Sweepstakes will re-open later this year prior to the kickoff of the 2009 college football season.
